Descriptif du poste

Club Med was founded in 1950 by two men, Gilbert Trigano and Gérard Blitz. Together, they created a completely new holiday concept: all-inclusive vacations in some of the most beautiful locations around the world, offering the joy of shared experiences and the opportunity to recharge through nature and sports.

Club Med provides its customers (known as “Great Members” or G.Ms) with a unique, carefree holiday experience, made possible by the friendliness and professionalism of its employees: the G.Os (Great Organizers) and G.Es (Great Employees).

Context

Within the Development, Construction and Property Department, the Development Manager owns the full lifecycle of resort development projects, from sourcing and feasibility through deal closing and opening, negotiating legal and financial terms with all relevant stakeholders (internal and external).

Missions

1/ Sourcing of new development projects

  • Lead the identification and analysis of new projects: greenfield, take-overs, renovations of existing resorts, etc.

  • Contribute to the reflection on future Club Med destinations’ and the associated development strategy for his/her area.

2/ Feasibility studies

  • The development manager is accountable for the projects in his/her scope and the main entry point for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Guarantee the quality of operational, financial and legal feasibility studies for development projects

  • Guarantee the coordination regarding positioning study of projects, in terms of product and programing from the conception to the implementation phases.

3/ Deal closing

  • In charge of negotiating operational and construction agreements with financial stakeholders under the supervision of the Vice President of his area

4/ Project follow-up

  • Is responsible for the development and implementation phases once the agreements are signed, up to the opening.

  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of required presentations and documents at each stage of the project for validation (in particular for investment committee).

Profile

  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate or equivalent.

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in real estate development, hospitality, investment banking, private equity or strategy consulting.

  • Track record in financial and legal structuring of deals

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working in a matrix organization and across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Analytical rigor and ability to challenge

  • Deal structuring (legal and financial)

  • Stakeholder relationship-building

  • Cross-functional collaboration and teamwork    

  • Fluent in French and English (mandatory); a second language is an asset.

Job details

  • Permanent contract (CDI) – available as soon as possible

  • Based at our headquarters in Paris La Villette

  • Current remote working policy: up to 8 days per month, subject to team agreement, with the possibility to take one full remote week per quarter.

  • “G.O Holidays” employee benefit: all employees on permanent contracts are eligible after one year of service for holidays in our Club Med Resorts, for themselves and their family or a companion of their choice.
